The week that was!!!
This past week started of as a normal week we went to library and did all the housework. We had lots of crafting going on from finishing hats for myself and a friend to finally finishing Matilda's quilt (will do another post on that). Imogen started to talk her first word is bub daddy was so hoping for dad and mumma is just glad it wasn't dad again.
We then finished the week by flying to Brisbane to say good bye to my best friend and her hubby as the are off to London for 1 yr (so going to miss them even though we don't see each other all the time). So we took Imogen on her first plane ride which she loved. Her big sister on the other hand was not quite as well behaved.

The week that was!!!
This week we had quite a busy week with lots of visitors, a birthday party and a little bit of crafting getting done.
We started our week with Caitlin coming out to stay with us for 3 nights. The girls loved having her here especially Matilda as she played playdough and painted toe nails together. I enjoyed having some one to talk to and help with the girls. She said she might be back next week we can only hope(hint hint if she reads this).
Then on Friday we decided to go into town to do a bit of shopping got a few things including a new sewing chair for my sewing table yay. Had to get a new one and Nick and Tilda played around with it and it wouldn't stay up anymore. It was a bargain to at under $30 from bigW and its pink.
Then we had a 1st birthday party on Friday afternoon so got home just in time to go. It was Immy's first invite to a friends party. She had a great time crawling around with the other little ones. She even had a go on the slip and slide with the bigger kids.
We had a visit from Poppy (my dad) and Gayle this weekend. It was the first time Gayle had seen Imogen and we hadn't seen dad since Matilda birthday in September. They were amazed at how big Immy has gotten and all the things she is doing. It was only a quick visit but it was lovely to see them and spend time with them.
Well that was our busy week I wonder what next week will bring.

7 Months
My baby girl Imogen Joy we have reached the 7 mth mark already it makes me sad to think that we are over half way to your birthday. I know it is always said that it goes to fast and they grow up to quick but I just don't know were the time has gone. It feels like only yesterday that I was hoping and praying that you would get out of me as I was over the pain of being pregnant and wanted you to be here.
In these past 7 mths you have learnt so much and you have learnt it all to quick for your mumma. I was hoping you would stay little for a bit longer but you have had other ideas. You have learnt how to crawl, stand and walk around the furniture. You enjoy follow your big sister down the hallway to play in her room. Matilda calls "baby sister come on in my room to play" and you race down the hall after her.
Your favourite thing at the moment is to blow raspberries at everyone or to see how loudly you can squeal, mumma is expecting your next thing will be talking. You have two bottom teeth and you are eating some solids but mainly just fruit as you are not a fan of veggies at this stage. You constantly try to steal your sisters food when she is in reach and usually you are quick enough to get it.
We have been doing some self settling with you and it is amazing how quickly you have picked it up and are putting yourself to sleep most of the time. Which is great for mumma and daddy as you have gone back to sleeping all night again.
So to my beautiful Imogen Joy take your time you don't need to learn everything at once and you don't need to catch up with your sister. Mumma is so happy to have you as my baby.

Qld Flood Appeal Auction
These last couple of weeks here in Qld have been devasting for a lot of people. We have been very lucky that no one in our family has been injured or lost there homes.
After seeing the photos of the flood here in Qld I thought I need to do something to help but what. My husband has put his hand up to go down as a volunteer with work so he can lend a hand.
Me on the other hand cant go with two small children so I saw the post by Toni at Make it Perfect about a flood appeal auction and I thought that I can do. So I am going to auction of some items from my facebook store here on my blog starting on friday.
So spread the word and head over to Make it Perfect and grab a button for your site and show your support. Lets see how much we can raise for the Flood Appeal. If you have a blog or facebook business I hope you are able to join in and auction something off as every little bit helps.
My thoughts go out for those in the affected areas and hope that those in Brisbane today stay safe as the water keeps rising. We are so grateful for the fact that our family anf friends are okay so far.

New Year - New Resolutions
So I was thinking the other day that I don't normally have resolutions and the past years that I have I don't think I have kept them so this year will hopefully be a first.
It shall be a year full of many firsts so I thought I should make some resolutions and stick to them. I figured if I wrote them down then I will have to stick to them right well lets see how I go.
1. Teach my baby girl to self settle as mumma cant keep rocking her to sleep in her arms.
2. Start a blog
3. Expand my little business to an online store like etsy or made it.
There are probably other things I would like to do like lose that baby weight and keep the house a bit tidier, do more craft with Matilda. But I thought I would start with a few things and try to keep to them.
So these are my resolutions and here is to a New Year and lots of firsts.

Christmas 2010
Here is a recap of our xmas we had it here at our place with most of the family coming to stay over the weekend. But it turned out to be a very wet xmas with family coming when they could make it and some not being able to get here. On the bright side we had xmas morning twice which Matilda loved and had a lovely xmas dinner on boxing day with Mum, David and Shannon. So it was a wet but wonderful 1st xmas for Imogen.
The girls xmas morning.
